Financial Education
Classroom Presentations
Our Bank coworkers work together with teachers to create financial presentations for students. Topics include: the importance of saving, how to use and balance a checking account, how a bank works, credit history and reports, credit cards vs. loans, and careers in banking. We’re happy to customize a presentation to the needs of your class.
Additional Financial Education Resources
- FDIC Money Smart for Young People — Engaging lesson plans and activities designed for all grade levels to teach the basics of saving, spending, and managing money.
- MyMoney.gov for Youth — Fun tools, games, and tips from the U.S. government to help kids and teens understand earning, saving, and budgeting.
These resources are a great way to reinforce what students learn in the classroom and encourage smart financial habits at home.
Bank Tours
It has been a long tradition for area students to take a field trip to our Historic Downtown Winona Office. With our original steel vault, impressive architecture, and museum of African safari mounts, the Bank has always been a field trip favorite. We also offer “behind the scenes” tours that can be customized to fit lesson plans.
